Story of Meow Wolf
House of Eternal Return was the first permanent installation from a group of creatives that create immersive and interactive experiences. It launched in March 2016 with support from Game of Thrones creator, George R.R. Martin.
Located in Santa Fe, New Mexico, House of Eternal Return is a fun and crazy experience. There are so many layers to this house of mystery. With secret passages and portals that transport you to magical lands. And all the while there is this expansive story that is intertwined with this surreal art experience.
Meow Wolf FAQ
Do you need to buy tickets in advance? Yes, avoid long lines by purchasing tickets for open check-in times online. Also, try and schedule your visit at an off time to be able to truly enjoy the space.
How long do you need to explore? Two hours is a good minimum for your first visit. But, admission is good for the entire day. On our last visit, we spent several hours exploring. Then we left to get dinner and check into our hotel. After dinner we returned to explore for a few more hours.
Is there anything you can not bring to Meow Wolf? They don’t allow food, gum, strollers, drinks, backpacks, or large bags. But they do have a coat and bag check at the front desk.
Is there a guide for getting around House of Eternal Return? There is no guide to getting around Meow Wolf’s House of Eternal Return. Really there is no right or wrong way to go. They encourage visitors to explore and discover the exhibit in their own unique way. The one clue we will share, is to stop at the mailbox on your way in to explore. There you will find several letters and clues that help you to begin solving the interactive mystery as you explore.
What are the appropriate ages for House of Eternal Return? It is definitely appropriate for all ages. Although kids under 18 need to be accompanied by an adult.
Is there Parking at Meow Wolf? Yes, they do have free parking. But it can fill up quickly in the summer months.
