Nashville, TN Rock’n Road Trip

After leaving the Birthplace of Rock ‘n’ Roll, we headed on over to the Country Music Capitol of the World…Nashville, Tennessee. We wanted to learn about the history of Country Music, so we headed down to Music Row.

Our first stop was the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum. It has been called the “Smithsonian of Country Music” and it was easy to see why. There were two floors full of artifacts related to Country Music history.
We paid the extra $5 (per person) to use the audio tour.
Next up was a stop at one of the oldest working letterpress print shops…Hatch Show Print. They have played a huge role in shaping the “visual language” of Music City since 1879. The tour lasted an hour, and it was definitely time well spent. We learned so much, and got to try our hand at printing.

Finally we took a step inside Nashville’s oldest music recording studio…RCA Studio B. Built in 1957 (in operation for 20 years), RCA Studio B became known as the birthplace of the distinctive “Nashville Sound” style of country music. Tours of Historic RCA Studio B transport guests back to moments that made history. During this one hour tour you will hear stories and songs born in this historic studio.

We finished “Down on Music Row”, but don’t hop on the “Heartbreak Express” because we still have more fun to come on this Rock’n Road Trip. Next up…Cleveland, Ohio!
