Cleveland, OH Rock’n Road Trip

Walking in Cleveland, Ohio

Just because someone has fancy sneakers doesn’t mean they can run faster.
— Jon Bon Jovi

After leaving the Country Music Capitol of the World, we headed up to visit the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland, Ohio. We arrived when they opened, and stayed until they closed! There are seven levels of Rock n Roll history to explore. As AC/DC says, “It's a long way to the top, if you want to rock 'n' roll!”

Our journey started at Level 0 where we found the Ahmet Ertegun Main Exhibit Hall. Here we explored the history of the music that changed the world starting with the Roots of Rock, moving through the Legends of Rock, all the way to the newly emerging artists of today.

Level One is where we entered the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, and had our pre-purchased tickets scanned. You can also shop till you drop at the Museum Store, or “Eat to the Beat” at the All-Access Cafe.

On Level Two you will find The Garage. We spent A LOT of time on this level. You can try out real instruments in the dedicated practice stations, relax with an acoustic guitar in the Lounge, or rock out with friends (or one of their studio musicians) in the Jam space that boasts a full band setup.

Level Three is the Hall of Fame! Here you will find the Signature Gallery honoring the inductees by class year, New Inductee exhibit, and the Power of Rock Experience.

Level Four is all about Pink Floyd...stand beneath a tour replica of The Wall, designed to mirror portions of the Berlin Performance from July 21, 1990. “I became very conscious of a wall between us and our audience, so this record started out as being an expression of those feelings.” -Roger Waters

Level Five is the Legends of Rock, an exhibit featuring handwritten drafts of hit singles, performance outfits, and instruments from some of history’s greatest concerts.

The top, Level Six, is Bon Jovi Forever. Here you will find an exhibit spanning four decades of the band’s career along with never-before-seen artifacts from each of the band members. “I was just another long-haired teenage kid with visions of grandeur, strumming a tennis racket or a broom in front of his bedroom mirror.”-Jon Bon Jovi
